Year 2

• Please encourage your child to read with you at home. Once they have read, record this in their reading record book; reading records will be checked and signed every Monday. We will hear your child read regularly in school to assess their progress, so please ensure their reading book and reading record are in school each day. We encourage children to read the book twice – once to sound out new words and find what the book is about and the second time to read it with more fluency and answer questions verbally about its content. Reading is essential to progress, so please try and hear your child read as often as possible.
• P.E. The children will be doing PE on Tuesday and Thursday.
