Wrap Around Care Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

I have met again with Cherry Kids Club who will be the providers offering the wrap-around care at Eastcote. We have cleared everything that we can within the Trust but are still waiting for the clearance from Ofsted. Until that clearance comes from Ofsted they cannot start offering the care. Ofsted have been experiencing an unusually high volume of providers applying to get this through for September which is causing a backlog to this process. I am, of course, very aware that parents need to address childcare for the new academic year so because of the uncertainty of when we will hear, which could be any time now or even during the summer break, I have taken the decision, along with Cherry Kids, to start the wraparound care from after October half term.

I have been trying for so long this year to get this in place so it is disappointing but I felt it was important to give you notice now, to assist you with your childcare plans. I have contacted Progressive Sports and asked that they continue offering the Early Morning Club and this will be bookable until Cherry Kids can start their provision. All of the other after school clubs will also still be running. I know this was not the news many of you wanted to hear, but unfortunately until we have the Ofsted approval there is no alternative. Cherry Kids Club will come into school to meet with you all as soon as the approval has been granted and to facilitate the sign-up process.

Kind regards,

Mrs R England | Principal
