Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the end of my second year as Principal there is so much to reflect upon. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support of your children and our school. Your engagement, encouragement, and partnership continue to play a vital role in their learning and development.
My thanks goes to our incredible staff for the care, commitment, and dedication they show every single day. Every effort, big or small, contributes to the nurturing and inspiring environment we strive to create. Please take a look on this page at our latest video which showcases the work that goes on everyday. Video showcase
Having our successful Ofsted inspection was a testament to the outstanding work that happens at Stationers’ Primary everyday and the children have achieved beyond our expectations, Year Six’s SATs results were spectacular with 87% combined for Reading, Writing and Maths, once these results are validated we will publish them on the school website
As this term ends I would also like to say how touched I am by the thoughtful messages and generous gifts that the staff have received. Your kindness deeply touches us.
I would like to extend a special thanks to PALS as Sian, Nina and Sarah end their first year together. They have continued to bring the fun and community spirit to our school. Building on the community and creativity that our school is known for. The Summer Fun day was a standout success and welcomed so many families into the school.
As the school year comes to a close, we say a fond farewell to our Year 6 pupils as they prepare to begin the next step of their journey and leave to go to secondary school. We have lasting memories of the epic ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’, their academic and creative talents know no end. Our Year Six class prepares to leave us as confident, capable young people. They are a credit to their families and to Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy and we know they have bright futures ahead of them.
Just before the term drew to a close On Tuesday 15 July, Her Majesty The Queen was formally cloathed as an Honorary Freeman and Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers. The ceremony was held at Stationers’ Hall, recognising Her Majesty’s longstanding support for literacy. The school was extended the honour of attending the event and presenting Her Majesty with gifts on behalf of The Stationers’Company. Khivi and Zach in Year 5 were selected to present the Queen with a posy of flowers and a specially bound book. It was a very exciting day and Her Majesty was attentive and showed a great interest in the children, both Khivi and Zach were a credit to the school and enjoyed the day thoroughly. Yesterday we had an emotional assembly as we wished Mrs Stowell a happy retirement. We reflected on her 43 years of teaching and the children shared their happy memories from Nursery. Mrs Stowell will be greatly missed and always a welcome visitor. We also wished Miss Rochester lots of luck for September and the imminent arrival of her first child. We are all very excited and cannot wait to meet her baby.
Thank you again for your continued support. I wish you and your families a restful, joy -filled summer break. We all look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Monday 1st September.
