Dear Parent/Carer,
As we begin our partnership with the Stationers’ Company I wanted to update you with the work that has taken place this term.
At the start of the term we held our first ‘Governor Immersion day’, this gave the governors; Professor Linda Drew, Jani Levanen, Barry Jones and Niall Fallon and our parent governor Louise Fernandes the opportunity to visit the school and meet the children, parents and staff.
We have also had Governor visits from Roger Mills our SEND Governor who met with myself and the new SENCO Mrs Kenway to assess our transition process and look the school readiness of our youngest members.
Mr Jani Levanen our safeguarding Governor visited in this capacity to assess the Single Central Register and evaluate the safeguarding measures in place.
Additionally, we had a visit from Helen Esmonde who is on the Trust Board who secured some exciting non-fiction and biography texts from Button Books for our library. These have been a very welcome addition.
Our parent governor Louise Fernandes is also set to start supporting Early Reading at the school working closely with myself and Miss Kumar.
The Stationers’ Company are adding information to their website about Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy, which in turn could attract donations or further sponsorship for our school. I would like to send photographs of the children’s work and events and activities that take place at the school to share on their website to celebrate our work and successes. Here you can see an example of Leigh Stationers’ Academy https://www.stationers.org/education-and-charity/stationers-academy.
Therefore, I have enclosed a link to a permissions form to seek permission to share photographs of your children as they go about their daily life at Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy, for the purpose of this website. Permission Form
Yours sincerely
Mrs R England | Principal
