Dear Parents / Carers,
As we come to the end of term, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the wonderful events we have experienced and share the key dates for the last half-term. It has been a remarkable term, particularly as we celebrated our 90th anniversary. The enthusiasm and dedication displayed by the children during this special occasion were a highlight. They embraced the historical theme of being in school in 1935 allowing them to immerse themselves in a unique and enriching experience. Seeing the children dressed really brought the past to life, and I am grateful for the supportive efforts of all of the parents and staff alike, which contributed to the success of this celebration.
I would like to express my thanks to the PALS for their generous support. The sponsorship of the commemorative coins was a thoughtful touch that we will surely cherish for years to come. I would also like to give my thanks for the new placement rugs in the EYFS and Key Stage 1 classes and the library. The children absolutely love them and they have really enhanced our learning environments.
I would like to thank Mrs Wickens for organising our very first Music Day, this was a great success and led by Victoria Heath who is an accomplished musician and graduate of the Trinity Laban Conservatoire. The children really enjoyed their individual workshops and art and music sessions and looked fantastic in their musical costumes.

It is with mixed emotions that we must bid farewell to Mrs Smith, who will be leaving on Friday. As our office manager, she has played an invaluable role in the smooth running of our school for 25 years and her exceptional dedication will be dearly missed by both staff and students. I invite you all to join me in thanking her and wishing her every happiness in her retirement.
I would also like to introduce our new office manager is Miss Jones who joins us with a range of experience having previously worked in two school offices. She has been having a handover with Mrs Smith this week and will be fully at the helm when we return on June 3rd.
